About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Integrative Research & Reflection is a student-run, peer-reviewed undergraduate academic journal which published its inaugural issue in Spring 2018. Hosted by the Department of Knowledge Integration at the University of Waterloo, JIRR aims to provide a venue for cross-disciplinary work done by undergrad students---be it applied research which employs multiple ways of knowing, creative projects that disrupt disciplinary boundaries, or theoretical work on cross-disciplinarity in undergraduate education.

Peer Review Process

JIRR is peer-reviewed by undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Waterloo and other institutions.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
