Abstract

The Curse of Pigs is a poetic piece heavily inspired by Circe, who first appears in Book 10 of Homer’s Odyssey. The Curse of Pigs explores the emotions that Circe feels when Odysseus finally leaves Aeaea after a year of staying on the island with her.

Nikkita Snelleksz, Curtin University

Nikkita Snelleksz a post-graduate and writer from Curtin University with a love for women's stories in history. Her work is inspired by women from different mythologies and from different points of history, focusing on feminist topics and weaving philosophy into poetry.
