Inaugural issue

We are pleased to announce that the first issue of the Journal of Water Economics (JWE) has been published (Vol. 53, 2026). This inaugural issue includes an editorial introducing the journal’s mission and a set of research articles spanning key themes in water economics, including water pricing and affordability, drought impacts on demand, aquatic environments and health, and flood protection investment. We invite readers to explore the issue and share it with colleagues, and we welcome new submissions that advance rigorous, policy-relevant research on water economics.
