Abstract

A DISCUSSION at the Vancouver Film Festival 1995 Among the many discussions taking place during the Trade Forum at Vancouver's International Film Festival was a rapt and lively presentation of how Broadcasters Support Filmmakers. The principal speaker was David Aukin of Channel Four who was introduced by Wayne Skeene, President of Skeene Communications in Vancouver. WS: David Aukin is a Commissioning Editor and Head of Drama for Channel 4, that "idiosyncratic little company" as Variety puts it, "that defies all the rules of Hollywood." The New York Times calls David "arguably the most influential figure in the British film industry."
