About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The focus of the Legal Studies Undergraduate Journal is to provide a space to showcase exceptional work from the Legal Studies students at the University of Waterloo. We are an undergraduate student-lead project that aims to promote the field of Critical Legal Studies while celebrating undergraduate work. The essays that have been selected highlight the vast areas of study within the Legal Studies realm with a variety of topics covered.
Peer Review Process
To review the essays, we have a blind-review process in which the editorial board is comprised of professors, graduate students, as well as undergraduate students. This is to ensure that undergraduate students are involved in a project that is for their benefit and that they get to get first hand experience of what editing for a journal is like.
Publication Frequency
This journal is published annually.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
