Abstract

A clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) marks a child’s neurodevelopmental deficiencies in social communication and interaction, alongside their repetitive and restricted behavioural patterns or interests (American Psychological Association, 2023). To alleviate the challenges experienced by children with ASD, professionals within the human-computer interaction domain continue inventing novel technological identification avenues and testing their effectiveness alongside clinicians.
