Community Radio Provides Elderly a Platform to Have Their Voices Heard in rural Macha, Zambia

Abstract

Preservation of (African) Intangible Cultural Heritage is an important part of healthy and sustainable progress of rural communities in Africa. Experience at Vision Community Radio Macha indicates that radio provides a platform for dissemination of cultural knowledge and wisdom in a community that operates mainly in primary orality.
