Abstract

La paralysie du nerf facial est une affection neurologique relativement courante qui s’accompagne souvent de manifestations oculaires graves nécessitant un traitement. Bien que la paralysie du nerf facial soit le plus souvent idiopathique (lorsqu’elle est également connue sous le nom de paralysie de Bell), d’autres causes plus inquiétantes doivent être exclues. L’identification de l’étiologie exacte repose sur une localisation anatomique correcte. La prise en charge est généralement multidisciplinaire et comprend le diagnostic correct, le traitement des complications oculaires et souvent l’utilisation de médicaments oraux pour traiter la paralysie elle-même, comme le montre ce rapport de cas.
