Syphilis oculaire et co-infection par le virus de l’immunodéficience humaine : Un rapport de cas

Résumé

La syphilis oculaire est une complication rare de la syphilis causée par la bactérie spirochète Treponema pallidum. Le diagnostic de la syphilis oculaire est difficile à établir en raison de ses manifestations cliniques diverses et souvent non pathognomoniques. Nous présentons le cas d’un patient sans antécédents connus d’infections transmises sexuellement, qui a présenté une baisse soudaine de la vision et une uvéite granulomateuse bilatérale. Des analyses sérologiques ont ensuite confirmé une co-infection par la syphilis et le virus de l’immunodéficience humaine (VIH). Ce cas souligne l’importance d’une approche multidisciplinaire dans la prise en charge de la syphilis oculaire, en particulier dans le contexte d’une co-infection par le VIH.
