Abstract

Individuals with Down syndrome may not be receiving adequate nutritional education based on their needs, in comparison to other individuals. There are clear discrepancies between those with Down syndrome and those without, in terms of eating practices, knowledge about what foods are healthy and unhealthy, and accessibility, amongst other determinants as well – this may help create the gap observed between the two groups in nutritional education, and bridging it may be the solution.
